Design

The major process elements are generally as under.

Analyzing the customers’ enquiry for feasibility and shortfall of input data – customer visit if required.
Calculations for force, speed and other machine related kinematics to ensure correct percolation of design to application satisfaction.
Preparing circuit diagram to suit application.
Selecting fitting components with respect to suitability, availability and brand acceptability.
On receipt of the order, preparing detail drawings for the entire unit to get customer’s approval and correcting the same on the receipt of comments by the customer.
Updating the circuit, bill of material and other drawings for the status at the time of dispatch/commissioning.

No need to mention that over & above the routine use of computer network, we have procured & used software for optimum designing of manifold blocks.
 
Manufacturing Process
The major manufacturing elements of our products can be divided as under.
OIL TANK
The oil tank is normally manufactured using MS Sheets of various thicknesses. The process involves cutting to size, bending as per drawing, welding & fitting the tank top as per the design. Later on various openings as per the design are prepared. We do use some aluminium tanks as our regular supply to specific customers after studying their application. This does improve aesthetics. Also, we have supplied hydraulics with stainless steel oil tank on special application demands.
PUMP – MOTOR STATION
This involves manufacturing of base frame, bell housing & coupling. The base frame fabrication is done using various sections like flats, angles, channels etc. The bell housings & couplings are machined from cast housing & raw coupling as per the requirements. Vital care is taken for vibration isolation in case of horizontal mounting.
MANIFOLD BLOCK
The manifold blocks are machined as per the drawing generally from special raw material as per DIN 1693-1. This is a special variety of casting with uniform internal grain structure as well as enough strength. Further operation involves completing tapping operation followed by removal of sharp edges & cleaning the openings & ports. Now the block is phosphetised to have anticorrosive more than skin deep layer. Also, we have supplied hydraulics with stainless steel manifold block on special application demands.
MOUNTING STRUCTURE
This is to support the hydraulic elements like valves, pressure gauges, filters etc. Here the structure is fabricated using various sections like flats, angles, channels, square tubes etc. to suit the final assembly needs. Also, we have supplied hydraulics with stainless steel structure on special application demands.
PIPING LAY OUT & ASSEMBLY
This process involves fixing of pump motor station and manifold block suitably & interconnecting them as per the circuit drawing using various pipes & fittings. The route is selected considering easy access for servicing of various hydraulic components for commissioning / troubleshooting as well as optimum pressure drop. Dummies are used for the absent components.
CORROSION PREVENTION
The oil tank, structure etc are sand / shot blasted to remove the rust & other dirt. Then immediately the red-oxide is applied to arrest corrosion on the nascent surface. Similarly the pipes are thoroughly cleaned inside out to remove left out dirt. The ends are sealed to avoid ingression of dust. The inside surface of the tank is sprayed- with either chloro-rubber paint or zinc rich primer.
FINAL ASSEMBLY
Here the parts & components removed for shot blasting are reassembled including tested manifold block assemblies & dummies are removed. All the accessories are fitted as per BOM. Thus the circuit is reconfirmed. Now the final painting is done with prescribed paint shade.
TESTING of the COMPLETE ASSEMBLY
This involves testing of the assembly for confirmation of their individual & collective function. Essentially the same should match with customers’ requirements. The extensive testing of the complete assembly ensures smooth commissioning at the customers’ end. To doubly ensure right function of system’s heart part – Manifold Block Assembly, the testing is done separately on a special test rig with flexible flow & pressure inputs. This testing is done prior to final assembly of the complete power pack. Thus the integrity of main components is checked.

COMMISSIONING & SERVICING
This is done on request from the customer. This is optional service & not routine. Normally the OEM customers need no such help in routine. The team for in-house testing is trained enough to attend commissioning as well as servicing.
